The Director
Dr. Matthew R. Francis took over as director of the M. D. Anderson Planetarium in August of 2007 after the retirement of long-time director Ronnie C. Barnes. Dr. Francis received his Ph.D. from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, after completing his B.A. degree at Central College in Pella, Iowa.
